No. 1 Star: Zach Werenski, Columbus Blue Jackets
The standout 19-year-old defenseman teamed up with Alexander Wenneberg for an incredible play to win the game in overtime.
No. 2 Star: Artemi Panarin, Chicago Blackhawks
It was a Gordie Howe hat trick for the Blackhawks forward. He assisted on the first goal of the game by Marian Hossa, fought Scotty Upshall, and ripped a wrister behind Jake Allen in overtime.
No. 3 Star: Mike Condon, Ottawa Senators
In his second start since joining the Senators, Condon made 31 saves in regulation and overtime, and stopped 2 of 3 shooters in the shootout.
Honorable Mention: Going up 2-0 in the first period, the Columbus Blue Jackets were on a run of 14 unanswered goals when the Ducks came back with goals by Nick Ritchie and Rickard Rakell. Hampus Lindholm returned to the Ducks lineup for the first time since his contract hold out ended. He was a minus-1 with two shots on goal in 18:33 TOI. Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves in the win. The Blue Jackets paid tribute to former Jacket Jared Boll in his first return to Columbus since joining the Ducks.

… Evander Kane returned to the Buffalo Sabres lineup. Ryan Dzingel tied the game with the Buffalo Sabres on a beauty of an effort where he skates from one end of the ice, splits the defense and beats Robin Lehner. Bobby Ryan and Kyle Turris scored in the shootout for the win … Corey Crawford had the shutout until just over two minutes left in the third when Alex Pietrangelo tied the game at 1-1. The Blues would have tied the game earlier in the third when Crawford made an unbelievable save on Vladimir Tarasenko who had essentially a wide open net to shoot at.
Did You Know? Artem Anisimov’s 11 game point streak came to an end due to injury. He left the game in the second period and did not return. He’s considered day-to-day.
Dishonorable Mention: Brandon Dubinsky was out of the Columbus lineup with an illness … Tyler Ennis and Ryan O’Reilly were out of the Buffalo lineup with injuries … Nail Yakupov was healthy scratched again for the Blues.
