Game are beginning to wind down as we near the All-Star Weekend so we look to the AHL for some entertainment.
After regulation and overtime the Toronto Marlies and the Rochester Americans remained tied at 1-1.
In the first three rounds of the shootout, all six skaters could not convert. Rochester’s Daniel Muzito-Bagenda scored first in the fourth round and Kerby Rychel answered. Two more rounds and four more skaters did not score.
In the seventh round, Vaclav Karabacek was denied by Marlies goaltender Garrett Sparks.
Toronto’s Colin Smith could win it if he could beat Linus Ullmark. And technically, he did …

Dings off the cross bar, doinks off the back of Ullmark’s head, and into the net. There was nothing Ullmark could do.
